Tzʼutujil

Tzʼutujil is a Mayan language that has around 80-90,000 speakers. It is spoken in 8 Guatemalan municipalities across two departments (2 in Suchitepéquez and 6 in Sololá). This creates two distinct dialects: Eastern and Western. The standard orthography for the Tzʼutujil was developed by the Academia de Lenguas Mayas de Guatemala.
