This project page is dedicated to the dream of a global, digital music book for Indigenous languages.
Click a region of our earth below to discover songs, artists, projects, language resources - and all while listening to music!
Please note!
* All rights and recordings belong to the artists, creators, communities or organizations
* Only resources from YouTube are used to give creator control over embedded videos
* Songs included are from all musical genres and some do contain difficult themes
* The language link resources may not match the area or dialect you are trying to learn
* The information included comes from researching with mainly online sources. This means inaccuracies, discrepancies, outdated information, and human error are possible
* Please jump in if you see any errors, have more information, further links, know of the artists or other songs, want to promote an Indigenous language project or get your language involved!
A future option of this project is to create full pages for individual Indigenous languages with music, language links, children's resources, and more. If you are involved in community and interested in making a language page, please send an email to the address below.
This video was made by the 1491s "a sketch comedy group based in the wooded ghettos of Minnesota and buffalo grass of Oklahoma." You can find more from them here:
